SCRIP

Sandy Marx
and Becky Ruiz are still busy with the Scrip table at the coffee hour after each service. They have a great inventory of items that are available for quick gift giving or to use for your self. Among items that are available most Sundays are Barnes and Noble, Shell Gas, Starbucks, Boston Market, Jamba Juice, Stater Brothers Markets, Regal Movies, Toys R Us, Home Depot, Sears, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Jo Ann’s Fabrics. This is just a sample of what is available. If you have a specific need, or are planning a large project and need a large amount from one company, please call Sandy Marx and she will make arrangements. This is a great way to help yourself and St. Thomas at the same time.

LENTEN SERIES

Each year during lent a series of soup suppers and group study is held on Wednesday evenings. In the St. Thomas tradition of “feed them and they will come”, members of the parish sign up to bring soup, fruit, cheese, or bread to share. There are usually two to three soups and a variety of fruit, cheese and bread. Last year we watched clips from the film “The Gospel of John” followed by a discussion ending with Eucharist. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance the season of Lent. Please join us at 6:00 pm for dinner. If you cannot make it for dinner, please feel free to join us at 7:00 pm for the program.

Jesus: Who do you say I am?

Lenten study that approaches Jesus Christ through scripture,
art, music and our own experiences. We will look at a variety
of points of view both ancient and modern.
Not only who Jesus was but who Jesus is for us today
