fourth Sunday in Lent has long been observed as a day for completely
relaxing the disciplines of Lent. It is also known as Mothering Sunday
as this was the first Mother's Day and a traditional time for
remembering your mother.

vestry meets on the third Sunday of the month immediately following the
10:15 am service. The first 15 minutes of each meeting is available to
the members of the congregation to present their concerns or ideas.

Bishop will be officiating on this Sunday and the possibility for

- St. Thomas Annual Dinner and Auction
Mark the date for next year's dinner and auction. Sure to be a wonderful time and the highlight of our church's social calendar!
Parent's Fridays -
This
evening provided by the vestry members of St. Thomas is scheduled
for the third Friday of the month and is a chance for parents to drop
off their elementary school age children to a safe environment where
food and entertainment are provided.
Reservations are required by noon of the preceding Thursday in the church office at: (562) 425-4457
Faith & Food Adult Study Group
The Evening Exploring Faith Group will be meeting on Tuesday
nights beginning on February 9, 2010 at 6:30 PM in Larkin Hall. On Feb 23rd the group will begin a Lenten Series.

St Thomas Women's Fellowship
Come
join us on Feb. 20th 2010 for a day of women's fellowship from 10am till
1pm. Bring a friend or neighbor. We will be offering a simple beginners
crochet project in the morning and a simple beginners knit project in
the afternoon or you can bring a project you been working on or just
come for a relaxed visit with friends.
All instruction and materials for the projects we present will be provided at no charge.
Complimentary
coffee and rolls will be available in the morning with a potluck lunch
served at noon. The Sanctuary will also be open during this time.

We are gathering food and monetary doantion on the third Sunday of each month.
